The Grinch 2: 'Jim Carrey wanted for new live-action Dr Seuss Christmas picture show'

THE GRINCH 2 could soon become a reality as Jim Carrey is beingness eyed for a new live-action follow-upward, according to an insider'due south report.

Can you believe it'due south been twenty years since Jim Carrey starred in Dr Seuss Christmas movie The Grinch? While the moving-picture show holds a rotten score of 49 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, the pic is considered a Christmas cult classic by many fans today. The story is based on Dr Seuss' 1957 book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! which was first adjusted equally an animated Television special in 1966.

But now a new written report claims Carrey is wanted for a live-activeness follow-upward, so could The Grinch ii really exist on the style?

Co-ordinate to respected Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, Universal are working on another live-activity Grinch picture and they want Carrey to return.

He wrote: "New Grinch live-activity moving-picture show in the works at Universal and they want Jim Carrey back."

Even if this rumour turns out to be true, it's worth noting that the now 58-year-old star famously couldn't stand wearing The Grinch prosthetics.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Testify in 2014, Carrey said: "It was similar beingness buried live every day."

Carrey said the CIA guy said: "Eat everything you meet and if yous're freaking out and you start to spiral down turn the television on, change your pattern.

"Have someone yous know come up and smack you in the head, punch yourself in the leg or fume, smoke as much as you perhaps can."

The actor even said how he used a giant cigarette holder and then the yak hair of his Grinch prosthetics wouldn't catch fire.

Although Carrey reminisced how the yak hair would turn inward and be particularly uncomfortable, declaring: "Information technology was horrifying! It was horrifying!"

In the end, the actor had to keep reminding himself: "It's for the kids, it's for the kids, it'southward for the kids, it'southward for the kids."

As for how many times he had to put the makeup on, Carrey revealed he endured the prosthetics 100 times.

The star added: "Y'know what got me through it? The Bee Gees."

By the sounds of information technology even if Universal want The Grinch 2 to happen with Carrey, he'll take a lot of convincing.
